ok nevermind, I guess you can, as well as OpenGL, but I soon realized why the hell would I really want to?

well just for future reference you have to download the ms java sdk

Microsoft SDK for Java only support DirectX 3.0, it only works on Microsoft compiler and VM and it is not being updated any more after C# has appeared. Don''t use it!
