I''m writing my first game now and at the moment I use Direct Sound to play wave-files, but tey are to big.
I don''t want to use Direct Music because it''s to dificult.
Here are my questions:
1.) How can I create my own (good) sound format? Do anybody have some nice tools for me ?
2.) If I have my own format, how can I play and mix it in my game ? Or must I format it to wave while the game is running and play it with Direct Sound ?
I hope you can help me.
