is there a way to run a jar file without user starting the application?
i mean running on its own at the background of the phone as we install it once?
it is like a screensaver..
can this be done?

With MIDP 1 it is not possible, unless you use a device specific library.

You can do it in MIDP2 using a feature called the 'push registry'.
There are no API's that i am aware of from any of the phone vendors to do this for MIDP1. But there still maybe out there!

what kind of a device specific library is it that i should use?say my phone is 7250i Nokia. Is there a lib. for every different phone? Where can i find the lib for my phone?
