hi, I am planning to make a program based on bone animation and facial expression. Can anyone recommend some links and papers for studying?

Hey, come on...
Isn''t anyone there, who made some ínvestigations in that...
I think, it is a very important topic, so answer someone ,
please !!!

If you just started with programming then try some easier things first because 3D animation is NOT easy.

If you know how to program and have some experience with it then go to this site.
Here you can get the source from a Half-Life model viewer.

You can also use a search engine like Google for getting links about character animation.

Or do a search here @ the GDnet forums.

Check out "Artificial Animals for Computer Animation: Biomechanics, Locomotion, Perception and Behavior" by Xiaoyuan Tu. It''s not about bone/facial movements but it has a very good overview of the mechanics involved. You should be able to find it in a web-search.
