Hi everyone, First off NEW SCREENSHOTS CAN BE SEEN HERE: http://raphael.siryani.free.fr/screens/ My name is Mattlab. I am part of the developement team of a new amazing ski game called Mountain Tycoon, which we hope to release it around Fall of 2005. This game has been in development for over 3 years now and were still working on it! We're working hard whenever we have free time to bring everyone a game so realistic and so amazing that everyone will just be begging to play more. We've seen what ski games have been out in the past and frankly they have not satisfied our needs and desires so we decided to make our own. It's called Mountain Tycoon. The game starts in the 1950s when ski resorts were first being built. At this point you have very little technology and buildingings availiable. Slowly however as time goes by you move up the technology tree you can begin to unlock new and amazing buildings like Aerial Trams and 8 person chair lifts. The trail system is realistic and easy to use. We have over 20 different hotels, over 30 lifts, and many many more buildings not to mention some really cool snow guns and groomers! However we take deepest pride in our graphics engine. Its full 3D and we have been able to develope a system of dynamic snow. Where you can actually see snow accumulate on buildings and trails in real time. We're even on working on having the trails made by your skiers visible. As well as the grooming lines. We want realism. This is why the game will span four seasons and alow you to work every aspect of the resort from hiring staff to making runs and buildings. We've even got real world weather and georgraphic data inputed into the game! Since in real life if you building a resort this means you can also ski or board in it, which MT will allow you to do. You can ride the lifts and ski the trails! This game is being put together by a bunch of very passionate volunteers that wants to bring the skiing community something really special that they will all love. We want to hear your suggestions! Please post them here and also visit the official MT forum http://forum.mountain-tycoon.com for more information. I recently posted an indepth aritcle on the snowmaking system in MT. If you want screenshots of the game please also visit the forum. However be aware that screenshots are over a month old and a lot has happened since then. Latest Screenshots: http://raphael.siryani.free.fr/screens/ So post your suggestions, comments, and desires here! This game's for you! Looks very good, although the background looks a bit empty. Maybe you could use a skybox with some mountains in the distance. I think you would also benefit from semi-realistic sky/fog shading as in this ATI presentation.

Interesting...I will pass this info along to the project lead. I am sure he will impliment something along those lines. Any other ideas? I am curious to know how else we can improve this scene to make it look even better!
