I am forming a group of programmers who are interested in helping develop a
user-interface SDK. The SDK will allow programmers (especially game
programmers) to quickly and easily develop custom user-interfaces for DirectX 7
that incorporate images, animations, buttons, edit boxes, progress bars,
sliders, and other common user-interface elements.

Successful applicants will be experienced C++ programmers who are comfortable
writing DirectX programs. Also desired is a VB/Delphi programmer who is good at
RAD (but not necessarily DirectX). The deadline for application is 12-7-99.

Draft specifications for the SDK are already developed. Programmers will choose
C++ classes that look interesting to them and implement the required
functionality (I will write what is left over). Compensation will be in the
form of royalties and the rights to use the software for commercial use when it
is finished. The time frame for completion is 2-3 weeks from 11-29-99.

If seriously interested, send an e-mail to mailto:dsd-ui-subscribe@eGroups.com
and announce yourself on the list, including a brief history of your work
experience, and a note as to whether or not you would be interested in being a
member of the committee (a group of people who handle revisions to the draft
specifications, adjust royalties, and handle other administrative tasks).
