Okay, has anybody noticed how recently there have been several posts about things such as prequels/sequels or updating? Most recently are ideas for A crono trigger sequel A ff7 prequel A ff6 update Is it really coming to this? Are the people with the get-up-and-go to do their own game with a 3 person team really this stagnated in ideas? Especially with the enourmous resources of this forum and the RPG Doc? Could just be simple love of the game. The feedback I''ve gotten so far has been awesome, but I find myself hewing close to 3 of my favorite games (Escape Velocity, Starflight & Sentinel Worlds) only because I''m saying over and over again "I want MORE of that. I want to make something with that fire!!!!"

Originality''s a funny thing. Sometimes people are happiest with something that''s mostly familiar, but tweaked enough to not be stagnant. Kind of like your favorite food, it''s fine as long as that''s not ALL there is.
