all the compilers ive used have had help
files which lists many commands
i dont know if its all of them but
just grab a compiler and check it out
it tells you lots about each function and
gives examples of its use sometimes

I have a compiler from www.Bloodshed.com, but it says I think, "The version of DX is not the newer one" and I dont know if its DX or not but I think it is.

Sorry about that last reply, I was way off.
It was that I need a newer HHCTRL.OCX to view the help file. I am not sure what that is yet, but I would like to start coding : ).
And is Computer programing for Dummies a good book I can use, for C/C++?
