problem with maya

Hi there,
I've installed Maya 6.5 unlimited but after running the program some controlls seem to be missing e.g. the Files/Projects controlls in the Preferences Dialog are missing. I'm running windows 2000 on sp 4.

You need to be just a little more descriptive of what is going on with your system. Ctrl+M hides/displays the menus, is this what you're looking for? Either that or you have a bunk copy of Maya.
