OK I have a shareware game in the works (well actually just about finished ) and I was wondering what you guys thought of it? The demo aint out yet but it should be avail this Saturday coming (March 17th)... Anyway the game is a puzzle game (not Tetris *YAWN*) with as many features as I could put in such as online hiscores, survival mode and themes (where you can design your own/download other gfx to play with)... I was thinking about adding multiplayer support for 2 players head to head but I was wondering if I should bother spending my time with it (leading to a possible delay) Thoughts anyone? Personally I would go with Freeware in hopes to attract more people and then stick the title under your belt for future references. (Create a portfolio if you get my drift)
I agree, I think Freeware would give you much greater exposure. I realize that its NOT tetris, but at first glance it sure looks like it so you´ll have to get past all the tetris-weary players out there, and that will be tough enough, even as a freeware game.
But then again, if the freely distributable part of the shareware is large enought to have some fun with it might do the trick too.
Good luck anyways
