i just have a cpp (talking VC++5 here) with a bunch of functions in the project and their prototypes in the main c file... makes sense no? why would it give me unresolved externals on them? other functions in other files in the same project work just fine! i even tried making a new file...

Thanks in advance.

First you talk of a 'cpp' file then you mention a main 'c' file, Are you mixing C & C++ in this project? If so have you declared the appropiate functions correctly with 'extern "C"' ?
