Ogre + Navi + VS2008
Hi,
I'm trying to use Ogre + Navi with Visual Studio 2008. While I managed to compile everything, I have some problems starting my app.
First there were some problems with missing msvcr80d.dlls. After putting these manually into the right folders, other dlls came up (all 80d related). And finally I got an error message, that my app is trying to load dlls that are not stated by the manifest file.
If anyone has managed to compile and debug an app using Ogre + Navi using VS2008, please drop me a line to explain how I can do this. I spent 2 days on this even recompiling Navi and the ll* dependecies (Ubrowser stuff).
Thanks,
Metron
There is an important post for you here: http://www.ogre3d.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=38169
Enjoy!
Otherwise, I would look at all the .lib files with dependency walker or compile them statically. Did you compile everything in VC9?

Hi,
thanks for the reply. I already had some contacts with xavier and he gave me the link to the VS9 version of Ogre. I'm using it successfully.
The problem occurs once I try to link to Navi. I have compiled Navi. I've also compiled the llmozlib on which Navi depends. I have compiled the ubrowser but only the release version seems to work. Perhaps there are some "hidden" flags set within the ubrowser project settings (I converted them from the old sln file) that it starts without problems in release mode. I compared the settings to mine and didn't find a difference (beside the usual include path stuff). The ubrowser debug version doesn't run too.
The dependencies lie within the Gecko runtime stuff (js3250.dll, nspr4-dll, plc4.dll, ...). Unfortunately, I don't have the sources to them and refering to the mozilla web page (of Gecko), only the latest version is compatible with VS9. Navi is using 1.8.x of Gecko which is not tested.

well... I'm open to any idea (if it doesn't mean that I have to port gecko 1.8.1 to work with VS9 ;) )
