In the OpenGL SDK for Linux, there''s a pixel/textureformat GL_UNSIGNED_SHORT_5_6_5 that doesn''t exist in the OpenGL SDK for Windows..but i need the 5_6_5 format to convert the snes emulator Zsnes into OpenGL... can someone give me some info about this?

The problem is that the Windows SDK is only OpenGL 1.1 compliant, and I believe that constant is added in 1.2. Easy to fix, though, you just need to use the header at the link below, which, in addition to extensions, includes all 1.2 constants and prototypes:
