Can anyone recommend a good, flexible (preferably free) tile map editor? It would save me a huge amount of time.

I've got a 256-color only shareware one called "MapMaker 5."

Is the source available to download for that last map editor? I like it but there are a couple things I would like to change/add to make it more specific to my engine.

Yes, I suppose anyone that's interested can have the source. Just e-mail blake@cyberstation.net and let me know. I worked long and hard on that sucky map maker so please give me some credit if you add on to it!
