Sounds good.
How ever i have a few problems:
1. Where do you store all the data for the points, they have to be in the computer to work, the hard drive really can't be fast enough can it? There is definitely not enough room in ram.
2. Game distribution, how are you going to fit the core data onto a disc, even if you use blue ray or even sell it on a HD, it's going to cost a bomb.
3. Unlimited = Infinite this is just not possible, even search algorithms cannot do infinite (as far as i know).
4. Animation (yes i know this has been discussed), all points have to be processed, at least transformation, this on it's own limits the system. Also for animation the location of all the points must be animated, even if it is done using a bone structure or a node, this stops it being unlimited.
5. Why did Unlimited detail get turned down if this is as good as they say it is. If they saw people like us and they said screw you, maybe there is a massive flaw?
6. If they have the basis of an engine (as they have clearly demonstrated), why would they need funding to turn it into an sdk, I'm sure that a few of us in gamedev could do that in a day, and even quicker if you know how it works.
Hmmm..... Still very sceptical
