Welcome to the Event for Gamers/GameDev.net Events Forum. We have partnered with Events for Gamers in order to keep better track of all the game industry and consumer events happening out there around the world - there are lots!! Events for Gamers is a website that provides news, dates, and other pertinent event information - very similar to our own Events Calendar but with lots more information. In fact, our Events Calendar will soon be much more closely-tied to the E4G site in the near future. For now though, we've created this forum for people to talk about specific upcoming industry events - see who's attending, arrange carpools or room shares, etc. You may have noticed that you can't create topics in this forum - the forum moderator Mathew Anderson (founder of E4G) will be posting topics for new conferences/events as they are announced (as well as ones currently forthcoming). This is so that each event only has one discussion thread attached to it, and that thread will start with conference details from E4G. What if you can't find the thread for an event you want to attend? In this case either Mathew hasn't gotten around to creating it yet, or he doesn't know of the event in question. In either case, there is the Event Suggestion thread for you all to request a thread for an event you can't find one for.

Thanks Gaiiden for posting this welcome! I am happy that GameDev.net has been willing to work with us promoting game events in the industry. Events For Gamers is a main portal in this endeavor.

As Gaiiden has mentioned, there is much work to be done in bringing E4G closer to GameDev.net, and bringing an even more content rich feature list to you for your favorite game events.

If you have any suggestions or general comments on improving E4G, please let us know!

We're beginning the transition from our forum system, over to hosting our forum discussions at GameDev.Net. We want to start with a focused and core community, and there is no better place to start than here.

In the coming days you'll see all of the Events For Gamers forum links redirected here. There will be a point at which we spearhead a local forum system again, but for the meantime, Events For Gamers discussions will occur here.
