u might wanna use
glDisable( GL_LIGHTING )
glEnable( GL_BLEND );
glBlendFunc( GL_SRC_ALPHA, GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA )
glColor4f(1,1,1, 0.0 .. 1.0 ) // alpha controls how much to blend

texture alpha-blending? Can someone give a quick example of both?
How would I blend a material color on a texture?

I fully show the material (a solid color), and then have something
that will blend both of them together?
