For the average programmer, no. This paper consists of logics and calc, so may definitely not be invaluable for 'any' game programmer.
Unless 'any' is synonymous with university / calc knowledgeable individual.

I'm not the typical programmer.

I'm a math maniac, I think math has some very important stuff for EVERY game programmer, I even troll with that all the time, BUT I don't really find that stuff um... anything.

The abstract is great: "The self-similar structure of the attracting subshift of a primitive substitution is carried over to the limit set of the repelling tree in the boundary of Outer Space of the corresponding irreducible outer automorphism of a free group."

Not a troll post! Sorry, been lurking for a while and was amused by the complexity of that thesis!

What the hell are you talking about?

You're not the OP so you can't say for certain whether he was trolling.

True, but he's got a fair few posts so I assumed it was more like a joke - it certainly made me smile!

I don't know if the OP intended this as a troll or a joke, but it is clearly so incredibly obscure and advanced that it is off topic. I'm closing the thread, or hiding it, depending on what I can do with the new forums, and have asked the OP to not do this again.
