After a certain slowdown in the development of the project we are now on the quest for new artists/developers.
Amnov is a massively multiplayer game but we keep our ambitions and aspirations realistic. Most of us are long time players of "Dark Age of Camelot" which has inspired us strongly.
Short term goals
We would like to release a demo version limited to one relatively small map, 3 different factions of players each having its own distinctive style, and a few "intelligent" monsters. The player would be able to play for a character in one of the three factions confronting players of the other two factions, monsters, or simply discovering the map.
The foundation of the game engine is ready (see our video), but there are still a lot of things left to implement. As regards the graphics, our super designer has already done quite an enormous job and defined the appearance of the characters, the map, and the monsters (see our galeries). An internal alpha version is in a functional state and is updated regularly enabling the team to assess the progress.
- 3D modeling (all kinds, including those with little experience)
- 2D artist (for the graphical user interface of all kinds)
- programmer with minimal experience (either server-side Java or client-side C++)
At present the team consists of 4 active members: a client-side developer, a server-side developer, a designer, and a 3D modeling expert.
We have also started development of an application which automatically updates the game each time the game is launched. Because its development is independent from Amnov, this is a separate open-source C++ project (please find it here), any help is welcome.

Amnov is a non-professional MMORPG project.
The current version is in development and oriented to the demo 0.1.
Here a video showing you the current state of development.
(We borrow some elements from ‘Dark Age of Camelot’ and ‘Ogre3D SDK’ to keep
going on development)
A free, stable, playable, presentable, limited, multi-platform demonstration.
Client : C++ (Ogre, SFML, MyGUI, ParticleUniverse)
Server : Java, PostgreSQL
Artist 2D (GUI, icons)
Artist 3D (models, animations, textures)
Effect creator (particle effects)
Sound creator (musics, in-game sounds)
(maybe a web developer for a probable website)
Schpitt (myself) : Client developer (profession : developer unrelated to game development)
Kulu : Server developer (profession : developer unrelated to game development)
Leux : Client developer (student developer)

Previous Work by Team:
Many networking games in several programming languages, nothing concrete as we have today with Amnov.
Our first goal is to release a demonstration version of our game (Amnov 0.1). As you can see in the video, a good part of the gameplay is implemented. The programming side is certainly not finished, but our actual problem is art contents.
This demo should contain very limited contents (~3 characters, a small map, 2-3 decorations, some spells, some hits, some special abilities).
The final game would be in medieval period style, but we don’t have any constraint for the demonstration (depends on artists preferences), just consistency.
Feel free to ask for more details...
