avoiding tunneling in bullet

im using the Bullet Physics engine to render a simple demo scene:
a cube falling on the other one
however when the cubes collide, the falling cube dunks into the static cube and flips out of it again.
this is kind of ugly and i want to know how to avoid it

Bullet lets you lower your penetration threshold, try doing that.
