So I take it that's a "no" -- you don't have any useful suggestions to offer, and are just venting? Again, it's not perfect, but I for one am happy that they're doing something, and as long as they do continue to address issues and proceed with useful development I don't see the new design roll-out as a failure. If you've got feedback on what you'd like to see changed or fixed the staff seem to have been pretty willing to listen, and have already implemented several big changes along with a lot of small bug-fixing.

[size=2]As above, I don't speak for GDNet, I'm just another user who happens to have a little more insight as a site moderator.

[size="1"]Oh, and just for reference, according to the top result of your search, the GDNet staff appear to have done everything correctly -- might want to check what you're linking to next time you go for the passive-aggressive response.

Just a small issue. Is there a way to limit the number of nested quotes? or when you reply limit it to just include the directly replied quote?

I've found a couple times I've posted in reply to someone I've carried almost a whole page of a thread into my post and it's annoying editing them out and reading the result.

Yea there is a setting, although it's highly arguable which would be better. There are times it's useful and there are times it's not. Whether it's more or the other depends on the person.

I'm sure it'd be better.

I don't have too many complaints really, though i'd like to see a proper dark theme and some adjustments to get the feel of things a little closer to the old site (I've also been having this issue the past couple days where pages occasionally fail to load, instead tossing a message like "we're doing some minor upgrades"). Really, I just kind of wish the rollout had waited until the new site was fully baked rather than releasing it fairly buggy and awkward as it was. Its getting better now (though I'm not a fan of the layout and the dropdown menus don't work right for me), gradually, at least.
There was a saying we had in college: Those who walk into the engineering building are never quite the same when they walk out.

The main problem with GDNet Black is that every other thing is still bright, like all the buttons etc. don't fit at all. It looks a lot better at nehe.gamedev.net.

Mother... of... pearl. That is beautiful.

+1.

Not really seeing the benefit of the new GD yet. Colour scheme is painful, and it just seems to take a lot longer (in terms of both clicks and time) to do anything. It's also slower loading I feel. What happened to the keep it simple ethos?
