It'd be cool to be able to close polls or give them an end date.

-------------------------The poll only allows 20 options, so I chose the ones I knew plus some other I didn't know but heard of their titles. Multiple answers are allowed.

Lets make this poll run for a week. After that there will be another poll for the best 3 games among the 3 companies that get more votes on this one.

Lets vote.
I like the Walrus best.

Accolade was twice. Removed one and added Atari.

I could only pick Sega and Nintendo. I'm not a big PC gamer and some of those companies have morphed into entities unrecognizable from their 80s and 90s versions.

Same here: Valve and Nintendo. I was also looking for Bethesda, but it wasn't there. Gearbox is another one I enjoy, albeit not a big name.

True. There. Ubisoft is more interesting data than Accolade. bathesda is more of a publisher than a studio isn't?

Forgot about Ubisoft, I'll toss a vote in for them also.

Bethseda Softworks is the publisher part, but Bethesda Game Studios is an actual studio. It made TES 3: Morrowind and TES 4: Oblivion, and Fallout 3, all major major AAA titles that won multiple awards. It chooses to focus on one huge game at a time rather than work on dozens at once.

ID and Bethseda are under the same umbrella now.
EA own DICE (battlefield). They have been kind enough to allow them to push the PC versions as hard as the console versions.
EA + Valve (for steam mainly).

why is Sierra there?

I kinda miss Interplay. I don't remember most of their titles other than Fallout but I remember I would usually check out anything that had their name on it.

Aye, true that.

I've also enjoyed stuff from Midway, Acclaim, and Factor 5.

Any chance we could get range voting on this subject? It would give a much better view of what we think.

I put down Valve. I would have probably signed on for Bioware and Bethesda as well as much as they annoy me.

Always been a fan of Square Enix although I feel they were a bit better when they were simply Square Co. They still release some amazing RPGs which I still play to this date.
