Im making an MFC app (sdi with multiple views) and I need to put an edit box on the toolbar. Can anyone give me any ideas on how I can do this? Thanks for any help

The articles you want are probably "Place Controls on ToolBars"
and "Using ComboBox on a Flat Toolbar" the technique should still apply to edit controls.
