Currently a solo project, no team name. I suppose the "Company name" (once registered" will be Arr Maytey Games or some such.
Almost 2 years in "indie" production, reached the free download stage in Jan 2011. The most up to date playable prototype is on the main website. The project is a 3D space sim/rts hybrid, where the player can directly control space craft (via mouse or joystick) or issue commands in a tactical screen, can build stations, ships, and manage the economy. Major updates are released on a monthly schedule.
Commercial - digital distribution (6 months to a year+ from now, depending on product quality and suitability for charging others money to play)
Ok so here is the fun part. I'm financing the game out of my own bank account. This means that I can't afford to feed you and still feed myself. Since this is a serious project with commercial aspirations I wouldn't feel right asking for unpaid work, so the compensation is $50 per model or equivalent project (eg: hud, or a portion of gui elements). I know that this isn't what quality art is worth (it is worth much more). I feel the need to be up front about this so that I don't waste anyone's time.
Currently for the Windows platform, potential for Mac and Linux
Coded in C++
I would need models in a format that can be imported into Blender - so 3ds, obj and other common formats.
Models polygon count would range from 1000 (for small fighters) to around 10,000 for large cruisers.
I need more textured 3D space ship, station, and other misc sci-fi related models. The current art is a mis-mash of untextured programmer art, some free assets, and some purchased stock assets. However I've basically ran out of stock assets to buy so I'm looking for interested parties to assist. Due to the low compenstation I can offer I'm looking for "starving artists" people wanting to get into the biz, but could use their name in credits and a reference, hobbyists and other generous souls. So basically people that aren't motivated by money to the point where my small offering is a deal breaker. This could be a long term relationship (again the budget doesn't allow for purchasing all the models right now), or a one time deal, depending on your willingness to do the work.
Some ships only need to be textured, some ships would be needed to be re-done and textured.
I need some space stations as well.
The current hud (programmer art) and gui (old outdated skin) also need to be updated.
Unpaid testers / unpaid developers (give me ideas, comment on my ideas, etc)
Currently me, myself and I, along with a bit of help here and there from outside sources for art assets and a music track. I've used open source and commercial products (more details on main website) and have created a working prototype with new features added as time allows (small amount of time over a long term timeline). My cat also sometimes contributes to the code base (extremely poor programmer, quite honesty I should just keep him off the keyboard).
I am the C++ programmer. The Executive Director of non-existant CEOs that don't exist and Senior Board President of the equally non-existant board of non-existant board directors. I'm also the terrible 3D modeler and 2D artist.

take a look at my portfolio (link at my sig), while I haven't done any proper spaceship models, I'm perfectly able to do so (ie. look at the low-poly RTS buildings at the bottom of my portfolio for samples of non-characters)

There's been about 5 interested parties, and close to 1 finished model. So for now I'm not seeking anyone else. It is fairly time consuming to manage this aspect of game design solo, plus I don't want to create a situation where there isn't enough work to go around.
