San Francisco vs Los Angeles for Job

I am wondering which city would give me more opportunities to find a game programming job or maybe even any programmer/computer type jobs. Would it be San Francisco or Los Angeles? I have tried googling but it did not help much and I was maybe hoping to hear from some people who live in these areas.

I currently live about a 20 minute drive away from San Francisco but I am moving out to the Los Angeles area for college in a few months. I was maybe thinking of living in the Los Angeles area if there is more of an opportunity of finding a job. Would SF or LA be a better choice?

If you're just looking for sheer volume, I'm almost certain there are more game studios and game jobs in total located in the Bay area (not just SF, but the peninsula/Silicon Valley and Marin areas as well). But, volume might not be the best solution...perhaps competition is fiercer in the Bay area as well. If you're looking for an area where the industry is booming and a lot of companies are hiring, you might want to consider Austin, Texas. A lot of companies have been expanding to Austin in the last few years.

You should also think about what you want to do in the industry. For example, the Bay area is a great place for social gaming, and startups in general.
I would take the Bay area more because I'm not a huge LA fan than anything related to actual game development :-/
Why not just apply to the companies and once you find the job move if necessary? That is a fairly common way to do things. You may end up needing to pay for the move yourself but at least you'll have a job.
