With Team Fortress 2 being free, is the Source SDK Free too?

Do you think they have like Source2 or something in the works? I am curious on there buisness model on if they are going the way of idTech engines.

Valve is one of most profitable tech companies in the world.
They are a publisher these days (Steam), the titles they produce are a drop in the bucket.
The way Valve is run they are very willing to do seemingly selfless things that promote goodwill and reputation in the long run. For instance, they distributed that relatively polished game alien swarm for free simply to promote Steam. In the case of TF2, I'm betting that their revenue stream actually picked up from it going F2P due to the micro transaction they've go going, but overall I wouldn't be surprised to see them make Source open.
