Project name:
Beasts and Bumpkins 2

Brief description:
14 years after the release of Beasts and Bumpkins (published in 1997 by Electronic Arts), on which I was the Lead Artist, I started working on the sequel early May 2011. The international team has grown to 4 people, and we are now seeking a talented Texture Artist to join the family. The art style is semi-cartoon, but the use of Photoshop overlay layers is expected to add quick detail so it's not all hand-painting. Involvement with concept art is optional.

Target aim:
The immediate goal is to produce a single-level proof of concept demo by Fall 2011. This will be used for community testing the core game dynamics, as well bringing the project to the attention of publishers. Some funding is already secured to cover voice over artists and sound effect licensing, but ideally we are aiming to get an advance on royalties and the publishers help to polish the game. Alternatively, functionality can be added for micro-payments to buy in-game items, and the project self-published.

Compensation:
Collaboration only, for a share of net profits based on time contributed, all under contract. Part-time contribution is fine.

Technology:
Unity3D. Initial target platforms are standalone PC and Mac, with an eye on PS3 and XB360.

Talent needed:
Texture Artist to provide character shading and tiled diffuse/spec maps for environment and building objects. Able to provide on average 20+ hours a week to the project.

Team structure:
Simon - Programming, Project Lead
[color="#1C2837"]Oskari - Musician
Dwight - Rigging/Animator
Rich - 3D Artist
Thomas - 3D Artist

Your dev videos looks great, you should post some screenshots and use your B&B2 title banner, it looks very polished. *thumbs up*

One question, do you hold the rights to the IP ? If not, is it clear who hold the rights (EA or Worldweaver Productions) ?
I will update the post once the position is clarified, subject to non-disclosure requirements. Progress has been made so it shouldn't take much longer. If the matter isn't resolved, we will drop the name and develop the title as new IP. Indeed there are numerous product placement arguments to do so anyway.
