Basically, this guy sues Cisco for using their position as near-monopoly network gear vendor to force customers into using them for service also. This guy (ex-Cisco exec) runs a shop that sells third-party maintenance and service for Cisco hardware. Cisco has the guy arrested on invented charges in the middle of his deposition on the anti-trust case, and ties him up in court proceedings for a full year.

Perhaps you meant it as a joke, but that is incredibly stupid.

World War 2 resulted in the direct deaths of over sixty million people, about two thirds were civilian, and the serious injury to that many people again. Consider that everyone has at least a few family and friends (partners, children, parents, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews) who were indirectly harmed because of the atrocities. That by itself makes it the most horrific war in history for human casualties. It touched lives and destroyed lives around the globe in an unprecedented way.

Adding in the Holocaust to the war, a systematic murder not just of Jews, but of Polish, Gypsy, Russian, Ukranian, Blacks, and other groups, puts it in a class by itself in the history of humanity.



The living victims from those horrible actions are getting very old so the backlash has diminished somewhat over the past few years. If you went back just 20 to 30 years ago, posing a question like that would be enough to get kicked out of most public forums, including expelled from schools. Jokes about Hitler, WW2, and the Holocaust are still enough to earn serious censure from public office and other major positions.

It is not a cute thing, nor something to joke about.

Perhaps the rule is that one uses Hitlar in the context of irony (and when posting on 4chan).

Ok, this is disturbing: I clicked BeanDog's link, then clicked on Mithrandir's "I WANT THE HITLER CUP" link and from there clicked on his link from the year 2004. What is there right now is two steps beyond wtf.
