CT Games

Project Name:
Towns Life

Brief description:
Towns Life is an online game set on a fantasy world where magic has been introduced to all natural things and beings after a huge catastrophe that took place around a thousand years ago, exact details of the catastrophe are unknown however myths speak about a sacrifice that gods made in order to save the world from destruction, by giving up their own lives four gods shattered their souls into millions of tiny particles and embedded them into plants, living beings, minerals and all other natural things giving them life and protection. The gameplay will happen a 1000 years after the catastrophe and it'll concentrate on telling the story of the new society and its mysteries.

Different from most MMO's we will have a different approach to the gameplay, we'll concentrate more on crafting side of it creating an "inverse system" which will improove both, combat and crafting. Details will only be provided to team members.

I just wanted to point out that your website has a few too many female characters on it... Just my personal opinion. The main page has one little guy sprite in the logo and 4 images of girls throughout the rest of the page. (not including the screenshots)

The guide page "characters" section is just a picture of 3 more female characters. The artist seems to like drawing female characters a bit too much in my opinion. I really think you should get a more even mix going on.

Overall the design and the characters seem very cliché and stereotypical. Seems like the same old regurgitated anime style that has been used way too much as it is.

But again, this is all just my opinion. You've got the typical "maid", "bookish girl with glasses", etc... Just comes off as not very creative or original.

I've updated first post with Art Designers open positions.

We are also back on looking for the ideal writer, we have received a lot of very skilled writers applications, however, they did not fit the requirements and/or theme that we are looking for, thus if anyone is interested please apply.

By the way, due to our new plans and requirements Marketing/Advertising writing knowledge and experience is a big plus since it'll help us with "corporate promotion" and funding process. Also, if anyone knows other online locations to recruit skilled writers please let me know in a PM.

I wonder if people would have noted it strange if a website had mostly male characters in it...

I was at least one of the writers not able to synchronize with this project. I just want to say that it's a pretty ambitious project with a lot of freedom for a great writer to add a lot to the world. The project manager is really easy to work with as well. Unfortunately I was too busy to commit the amount of time that this project deserves.

I have much experience in being a creative writer, being a creative thinker... being a game designer, I have always thought about designing many devices and machines for real world applications. What deters me is the fact of having a contract and a paying position, I like this for the fact that it is a great tool for assurance that this would succeed and that I will get paid, what deters me is that I am a minor.

Have a nice day,
Sincerely,
Michael

I used to plough through three books a week as a kid. My favorite authors are Terry Pratchett, Tad Williams, and Tamora Pierce. I read Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, His Dark Materials, and Narnia long-before they were made into movies. I do believe in spirits, I have experience working on an organic farm, and I spend 14 hours per day playing MMOs, posting on forums, and reading manga. (Top 5% in League of Legends, 1000+ posts in each of 6 gaming-forums, and I sponsor E-depth Angel.) For English language I believe there is a typo in the Writing Test > Game Features > World Features > Day/Nigh("t")

My experience for Lint Fanfiction: http://www.purnicellin.com/lintier/fanworks
I also have 1000+ posts in Chosen Space, Ikariam, Alteil, League of Legends, Dragon Nest, and ONrpg forums. I did Public Relations for Chosen Space, Realms of Rivalry, Land of Destiny, as well as the #1 guilds in Soul Master, Aurora Blade, and Ikariam; #2 guild in Chosen Space; #3 guild in Dragon Nest. This involved some typing and communication for hosting guild-events and inter-guild politics. Video game passion... I've played over 1000 multiplayer online games. I could start listing them but it's easier to find a list here: http://play-free-online-games.com
and here: http://www.topwebgames.com/browse.asp?theme=Fantasy
and here: http://www.onrpg.com/boards/search.php?searchid=2015870
That's a quick list of what I've played on PC, with the exception of browser-games released in the last 2 years, and MMOs that are are either unreleased or require a Korean Social Security Number to play.

Game design writing experience... I worked on quests and technology-trees for http://www.LandOfDestiny.com

I don't really play games that are specifically focused around animal breeding since I prefer tick-based persistent browser-based strategy games instead of pet-simulations. PsyPets is the only animal breeding game that I take seriously. I've sent a sample Story Writing Test under the subject "CTG Writers - Diego". Do you want a resume? I didn't want to work because that would imply that I would be self-motivated to rant about settings like Doris Inn and Azzard without actually knowing anything about the NPC-interaction system... Is there even squad combat? Well - I look forward to hearing from you on Skype. Too bad I forgot to send you my Skype name - it is "TheSteamedRice".

I saw that you do not have a composer. You may not need one at this very second, but I would like to fill that gap in your team.

About me:

I am a versed musical composer, first and foremost. The music that I write is usually for String Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra. I can do Symphony style work as well. The genre of music I compose is normally Romantic Era music (example composers of this era would be Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninoff). To many, this style of music would sound like regular Classical music, which I can also do. Although these genres of music are my specialty, I can also write more modern sounding music (like rock, jazz, marches, etc...). Starting with the most experienced instrument, I am proficient at the Trumpet, Sax, and Piano.

How Do I Compose:

The software I use to compose my music is called Finale. It can be found here: www.finalemusic.com/. This software is a program where I am writing songs note for note. I do not use samples or anything that has been previously made. The compositions sound real, as if it were professionally recorded in an Orchestra Hall. Additionally, if you can read music notation, I can send you the score and you can review the composition. The highest quality file type I can extract is a .WAV file.

If you are interested, please email me back at

leosmithii@yahoo.com

. Or message me via PM.

Some Samples can be found here: http://soundcloud.com/leosmithii
