I was wondering if it would be possible to add this (simpler and straightforward) other way to subscribe ?
One phone call ..... done ! Instead of filling forms with bank information ?

Personally I didn't asked to my bank a 'virtual' credit card for internet usage.
I know (maybe a bit paranoid ? ) people that would never give this kind of information to any website.

It's no more of a risk than that your favourite waiter will photograph front and back of your card when you pay for lunch at the restaurant...

That said, PayPall is the answer to your paranoia, and GameDev accepts PayPall for GDNet+ subscriptions.

EDIT : sorry I might get a bit rude.
I'm absolutely confident in security on GameDev, that's not the point. (Anyway would I want to subscribe ? What would make a taxed phone call more secure ?)
I was just asking (please notice the ?) if it would be possible to subscribe in another way because for now I can't do it with the existing ones, that's all, that's simple.
In some days, maybe some weeks, I will have this special account for internet use from my bank (this is a free and elementary precaution provided and strongly adviced by banks, absolutely nothing to do with so called 'paranoia') and then .... I'll think about it again

I may have misinterpreted your original post - my apologies.

It sounded to me as if you had a credit card already, but were unwilling to use it to make a purchase over the internet. (and to be fair, you were the one to mention 'paranoid' people)

Thank you for your reply. My apologies for my first arrogant answer.

Don't wanting to use my account bank directly doesn't make me feel paranoid. I'm not a naive teletubby living on a rainbow, I just want to use realistic, minimal precaution that my bank offers and recommends, that's all. No brain storming needed. There's not erratic dread that motivates me here, just pragmatism. Precaution and Paranoia are / are motivated by completely different things

About 'maybe a bit paranoid ? ' people (it was just a futile joke that's not a judgment, they do what they want after all if it hurts nobody I don't care.)
The point is that they probably won't subscribe this way. Why they think this way is their businness I don't care about it. It came to me as a second argument for this 'taxed phone call' idea.

For me, a taxed phone call just seems more praticable and straightforward. This is my point and this is why I posted this and asked if it would be possible. The blabla about 'paranoid persons' is irrelevant here.

I do want to give account information to GameDev, but a special account for web purpose. With assurance and protection. Even if I'm confident in GameDev security as I said, there are hackers on the web, this is a fact.

I lock my entry door by precaution when I get out. There are thieves in the world, this is a fact. Does it make me be paranoid ? Of course not

Please never mind, I just have to wait, and I'll use the existing way in some days or weeks. This was just an ugly lack of patience from me, I must admit it.
