Hi. I am a beginner sprite maker. I am about to finish middle school so I haven't had much experience with creating sprites. I will post some of my sprites here. Tell me what you think and how I need to improve. By the way, I don't know how to create 3D sprites.

The sprites you've made are very basic. The length proportions are decent on the human sprites (I don't know if I like the ears that high though). I really like the hair on the brown girl, it looks good! Something I would suggest is working on giving each character its own style. At the moment they look very similar.

Things to do:

- Add freckles/dimples/acne and other facial marks

- Try making a character look older/younger (baby -> adult -> elder)

- Make fat/thin/tall/short characters. Try to see how far you can exaggerate the features without breaking the character.

- Add emotion. Play with eyes/mouth/wrinkles to make angry/sad/happy/disgusted emotions.

-Add action. Make a running/jumping character.

A very fun thing to try is to pick a theme and make the characters stick to it. Zombies, Tree-Men, Military, Robot, anything!

I think your characters look great. When you change the body proportions like Nick said for each character i could easily see these in a popular game. Even now they will do great in some social game where you could change clothes, hair, etc.

You could add some little things like Nick suggested to make them more "individual". But if you really want to improve on these i think your should start detailing and shading them, they will pop more and look less flat but the style you have here, which isn't bad at all, will be lost.

The spaceship looks simply dull, it's just a rectangle with 3 triangles. Try lookup some reference for it. Add some interesting shapes to it. To make it more future like shift the flames from red/yellow to blue/cyan.
