Heello there!

I am looking for anybody that would like to join my game development team. We are currently going to make a Legend of Zelda game. There is no team name, so if you join you more than likely can assist in naming with us.

The spots we need to be filled include

• Modeler

• This is probably the most needed spot we have open currently
• Animator

• This is an optional spot we have open, where we can get it done how we have it now, just would prefer to have a devoted animator.
• Texturer/texture maker

• This will be a more needed job as we get further into the development of the game.
• Sound FX creator

• You must be able to create sound effects 100% original, as in recorded from your own microphone.
• Scripter

• We will need a few more of these, in either C# or javascript.
• Lastly, Character modeler

• We very importantly need this spot filled, as we can't find anyone that will do it free.

• Due to copyright infringement, we can not legally sell the game, therefore we can not offer pay.
The main reason we are making this game is for the learning experiance, and wanted to try and offer spots for more people interested in trying to get better at, or learn how to develop a game. Now that I have you hooked at least a little bit, here is the catch. We so far are all highschool students looking for the experiance before we take our game development courses in college. We would like to be able to present this in college, as well as when we attempt to join a real game development company when we are older for our career. Wouldn't it be so nice when applying to work at Nintendo and be able to say, "Look what I made when i was in highschool!" and then immediatly get the job9.gif lol.
But regarding this, I am not saying you have to be in highschool to join. I was just giveing this as a heads up to anyone that would be opposed to working with teenagers.
If you are interested, please email me at [REMOVED BY MODERATOR] state what job you are interested in, and if you can, give us some work to show you are serious about joining.

You should probably post this in the Help Wanted section.
hm interesting did not know there was a section like that lol
You need to make a classified in your profile since you can not post anymore in the help wanted section. You can view that section from community -> forums -> help wanted
You would need to post this sort of request in our "Classifieds" system (reachable from the top navigation bar of the site)... but unfortunately for you we won't be able to allow it unless you change your idea, due to the following:

Due to copyright infringement, we can not legally sell the game, therefore we can not offer pay.

Copyright laws don't just stop you from selling a game based on someone else's idea, they stop you from [s]making[/s] distributing one. Even if you don't make any money, your game would still be a breach of Nintendo's copyrights (and Trademarks!), and if your project comes to their attention they're quite likely to issue you with a cease and desist notice and/or take you to court. Because of this we have a blanket policy of not allowing the posting of projects which we know infringe upon existing intellectual property, and even before that policy came into effect we had a blanket request from Nintendo to not allow any projects infringing upon their property.

If you want to make such a project you won't be able to advertise looking for help here -- I would strongly suggest simply dropping all the "Zelda" elements and making your own game instead -- it would be very disappointing for you to put lots of work into a project only to have it stopped at a later stage.

Just to expand a little further, your little examples of presenting this project in college or to a "real game development company" would likely not have the results you're expecting -- they'll be very impressed if you can show that you've completed a game using your own idea, but illegally using Nintendo's intellectual property will only ever get you trouble.

Don't make a Zelda game -- make a game like Zelda, but with your own ideas, characters, graphics, audio and setting. A game studio will be even more impressed if you're able to come up with your own fun game-play twist or -- even better -- complete unique game-play idea.
