Hi,
I ve to make my first video game and I Would like to know programs/applications for making my characters and some graphics ( both 2d and 3d). For this project i use jMonkey as game engine. Thanks!

For 3D - any of 3ds Max, Maya, Softimage, Blender, ZBrush, Mudbox. Be aware they are very complex tools that require a lot of time to learn, as well as some artistic talent.

For 2D - Photoshop or GIMP.

You might also consider downloading some free models from TurboSquid.
