I am doing a survey on what the preferred way is to pay for a MMORPG type of game.

I have a view, as a player, but I will wait a little until stating it. Some advantages/disadvantages (from the player point of view), are:

Micro-payments allow you to play with a very low, or zero, budget.
Monthly fees allow you to pay when you are playing, and can take a pause any time.
Annual fees are less work. Get it done with, and no worry to have to transfer money frequently.
Both annual and monthly fees have the advantage of being more fair. Everyone gets the same conditions.

Did I miss something else?
