I need a very simple sound system, the simpliest possible. I wonder what should I use (the standard SDL audio or download the SDL mixer or something else maybe?)

My needs:
- music (a looped wav)
- up to 2-3 sounds played concurrently (wav)
- ability to change the volume of music
- ability to change the volume of sound effects

It's for a strategy game, so I absolutely don't need any extras, just the minimum.
