What's going on guys? I have a pretty quick question for everyone, see I'm really into this game dev. thing. I wanna make some simple games in the beginning (like some 2d tetris, 2d space shooter, and a 2d car racing game). Which language would you think it would be easier to learn and make in? Or would game maker be better? Or something else? Thanks guys!
C# with XNA is reasonably easy (Allthough far from trivial if you don't know how to program allready).
The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!

"Which Language", "Which Book", and "Which Engine" are near-daily questions in For Beginners.I really really need to bookmark this post I made already (sigh)
Read post 8 here: http://www.gamedev.n...ost__p__4949601
They are covered in the FAQ, and there used to be a sticky about them.
Posters in For Beginners tend to just post without bothering to search, or to read the FAQ, or to read sticky posts.
It is futile to ask "Why didn't you read the answer to yesterday's poster who asked the same question?" The daily language/book/engine posts are mostly ignored by senior people. You'll get used to ignoring the daily questions soon enough. :-)

I did look onto this forum a lot before I posted but I wanted to tell everyone what exactly I was going on for. As for the XNA, I looked into it, game dev. for windows phone and xbox?
And PC, and using Monogame, possibly iOS, Android, Mac and Linux. So for now, just think of it as game development in general, and worry about the later part when it becomes a worry.
As to your initial question, read the guide linked in my sig. As Frob said, this question is asked... a lot. That is my standard answer and goes into more detail than you are likely to find this side of a book...

Actually as XNA wraps directX it will only do windows phone 7+, xbox 360, certain zune devices and windows XP and above (.net issues on earlier versions of windows)

Although C# can be used with other rendering frameworks for mono if cross platform support is needed.

Yes, and monogame is a port of the XNA engine, which instead uses OpenGL behind the scenes.
