Ok I'm not really a great artist and all but I'd like some impressions about pixel art since its an easy art for me.

Here are some of my pixel artworks.

I just want to know my position at this point even though I know i'm really horrible.

Looks fine, focus on animation though. The more pixel art moves and still manages to look good, the better the game will be. Try playing with different animation mechanics like ease in and ease out to get different mood and feel from the characters you are creating. A master of anything is just someone with roughly 10 000 hours and a body of work to show for it. Keep at it, pixel art will live as long as pixels live and probably longer!
Ghee thanks I'll try to work on the animation. Anyone else?
I would look at other pixel art and check out tutorials like Derek Yu's: http://www.derekyu.com/?page_id=221, which should give you a better grasp of the fundamentals. The characters are a good start in the animation, but they could be refined quite a bit.

Good luck!

Going to be blunt:

  1. You need to improve the shading. These sprites look extremely flat, and many of them don't seem to have shading at all. Even a two color shade (fully lit and shadow) will make it look much better.
  2. You need to improve your drawing of irregular curves. You're seriously going to need this to make good-looking humans and the like. Luckily, pixel art is very low resolution and you can get away by just moving around a few pixels until you get something that looks right. Try doing that.
Don't pay much attention to "the hedgehog" in my nick, it's just because "Sik" was already taken =/ By the way, Sik is pronounced like seek, not like sick.
Indeed, shading and anti-aliasing is a start. Artists of any graphical medium benefits immensely by knowing how to draw with the regular ol' pencil and paper. If you're serious, draw a lot.

Check out other artists and how they do things. Go to pixeljoint, they have tons of talented pixelartists and they're always glad to help out folks coming to their forums. They're nuts about 16bit palettes though. You have been warned.
You seem to like black outlines. They are good in many cases, but in small pieces like your little men they are too heavy: your priority should be learning to convey shapes with shading rather than with outlines.

Thanks for your feedback. I actually am trying my best to make rough art so that the artist can make it better than mine since I've realized for a very long time that I'm not a well talented artist just an amateur.

I'll look into pixel joint. Pixel art is my favorite cause to me it is the mystique of video game and it should be.
A good start. You should focus very much on what you want your art to look like. Anybody can throw down some pixels but what makes the art great is the detail to concepts. Generally for pixel art you want to limit yourself to a number of shades. Try not to go too simple or you will get something that looks like a grade school kid did it, but don't go too complex or it will lose the pixel appeal. The key for you is shade and highlight tones.

Normally, you would lay down the base color of the object first, and then find out where you wanted to put the shade tone, and lastly the highlight tone. Doing this will give you three major colors to work from. If you need to make something light or darker you can go from those three base colors. If you need a visual example let me know and I can cook something up for you.
