Hi everybody. I downloaded this nice 3D model of a sniper rifle off Turbosquid, intending to use it in my game. However, it's in the MAX format and I don't have MAX (Blender fan) so I have no way of reading it sad.png . Can somebody please convert it for me, preferably to OBJ or DAE?

If no one gets back to you it's possible for you to convert it using the 30 day fully featured trial of 3DS Max. My trials have run out for 2012, and 2013 so I am unable to convert it for you.

Unfortunately, Autodesk FBX Converter 2013 doesn't support MAX as a usable input file format. However, it can import, and convert other file types if you ever need to quickly.

3DS MAX 2013 Unrestricted 30 day trial:

Here is the FBX converter. It will not convert MAX files though.

Windows x32: http://images.autode...nverter_win.exe

Windows x64: http://images.autode...ter_win_x64.exe

Mac: http://images.autode...ter_mac.pkg.tgz

I'm sorry, if I still had the 3DS Max trial run I'd have it converted instantly for you.
Yeah I already have the FBX converter. Between that and another program called LithUnwrap, which reads pretty much any file format, all my conversion needs are normally met. However the full max program, that's quite a lot to install for just one measly conversion, especially given that it only lasts 30 days. Seeing as it isn't a pressing priority, I'll give this thread another 24 hours before installing the trial. Please, somebody spare 3 minutes to save me 300!
Bump. Please help me, max users!
