We've been working on Knight Souls for several months now and were just about finished. Now it's time to start cover art and I'm having trouble figuring out where to go next with my current mock up. (particularly with the font)

Phone Version (probably will add the balls to the bottom)

Working on this cover art has brought a realization that I didn't realize after all these years gaming. Almost ALL the games have some sort of unique font style for the title. Not sure what to do there, I'm probably going to have to design it manually.

If you can leave any comment or recommendations it would be appreciated, thanks!

Go to dafont.com and proceed to spend 6 hours looking at fonts (you will not be able to help yourself).

I would turn the yellow of the shield thing into a darker, less colorful shade so the really colorful balls stand out more. Consider adding some generic background texture (something subtle that won't distract from everything else), like a stone wall/wood panelling texture. Something to go with the Medieval thing. Try out a bunch of variations, don't stick to only a couple.

Thanks for the feedback Prinz Eugn! Your reply is very helpful, I'm going to try those out.

That font site is really cool as well, I'm going to take a look.

Sure! I forgot to mention you have a really great pixellated style going on, so think about making the title pixellated too, and give people the total nostalgia experience.

Good luck!

Thanks. I'm going to try out the pixelated title as well

Alright, made another cover and think it's a significant improvement already! It still needs work though.
