Try the indie game Avadon: The Black Fortress and also Morning's Wrath.

i know of avadon alrady but it doesnt look very interesting..
like i sid i dont like being a hero and its like the only thing u learn about the game when reading what it is.
and i looked at trailer and graphics and everything and spells and the squares and everything looks exactly like avernum... and that game had flawed combat that really ruined my experience.

what do u think about this?

Well, Avadon is the only Jeff Vogel game I've played, so I haven't played Avernum. Plot-wise, you aren't the hero... if anything, you're a bit of a anti-hero depending on how you roleplay things. You're a 'Hand' of Avadon, basically a mercenary, and Avadon ain't such a morally-sound place either. Vogel reuses alot of his graphics for each game, and from just now looking at YouTube videos of Avernum I'd say the combat looks about the same as well - so probably not your cup of tea after all.

Darklands

canu tell me what u think about evil&good choices and paths in that game?
it doesnt say in description of game.

It's not really the sort of game where you do Option A to be good or Option B to be evil. It's more about being famous or infamous. You can choose to go to factions to receive quests, or you could just ravage the country side, raiding castles and murdering the occupants.
This thread is awesome!!! Where is The Elder Scrolls III Morrowind? I like that game so much biggrin.png

Arx Fatalis is nice too.
And I would realy like to stress froop recomendation as very accurate.
(a lot of games here can inspire, they have everything besides edge graphics, but the graphics still do its job much well, providing intensive atmosphere and gameplay)

a few i personally enjoyed.

Mass Effect (I've only played the first, can't comment on 2/3)
Ultima 4-7
Knights of the old republic.
The witcher 1/2.

If you like strategy games with some RPG elements I'd also recommend Jagged Alliance 2 (Pretty close to a perfect game imo)

i wanna play a good rpg's singleplayer that i havent played already.
It doesnt have to be oldschool or new or isometric or 3d.. just good rpg.
just somethig u think i will like :)

i like playing evil characters... i hate when i have to play a hero or something..
at least give us a evil reason for saving the world even tho thats really cheap and not something im thrilled about.
too much hackn slash is boring but too much rpg gets tiresome too... like in torment when u get out of the first building u escape from.. thers like... wayyyy too much dialogue and rpg before u can fight something again... and then when u leave the city to go to the mine theres waaay too mch hack n slash before u get to do some rpg again lol.
i like when game is not too linear... if it is gonna be linear it better be fucking amazing every second like darkness 2, alan wake and walking dead.

these ive played already (maybe more ill just write what i can remember)

baldurs gate series (fucking good, perfect mix of hack n slash and rpg)
ice wind dale series (kinda heavy on hack n slash but was still good)
fallout series (just fucking perfect)
planescape torment (the best rpg ever, nothing comes near)
eschalon book 1+2 (just soo annoying resting system and a bit too heavy hack n slash)
avernum (combat had good system n all that but it needed fine tuning which was a really big flaw imo)
alan wake (really good)
darksiders 2 (boring rpg... combat is ok i guess.. it really just u gotta have quick reflexes to dodge and its all ez then)
legend of grimrock (became too repetitive pretty fast.. just looking for unique wall tiles all the time.. also not much rpg.. just quizz really)
the walking dead (pretty good... am playing it right now but yeah.. its ok)
geneforge (pretty ok.. i started ti play it a few months back and its an ok rpg.. just feels like they didnt put in enough effort in details in that game finetuning and stuff)
skyrim (really good..but a bit meh combat)
oblivion (didnt play this so much.. just something didnt feel right)
the darkness 2 (really good.. not much rpg as in u have choices to make but i dont mind cus u get to play an evil motherfucker in this game :D)
depths of peril (only played it for a few minutes.. not really a rpg imo)
deus ex (oldschool was great.. the newer versions are pretty good too)
dragon age 1 (great but o god i got sick of combat so repetitive and even tho they tried give u good&evil options it still felt like u were forced doing good stuff all the time)
dragon age 2 (sucked)
krater (sucked)
gta( oldschool was good at that time, not sure i would play it now tho)
magicka (pretty good hack n slash game)
overlord 1 +2 (too linear.. not that fun.. 4/10 rating)
yesterday (BORING!!!)

im leaving out a lot of rpgs but it at least gives u a good idea of most rpg ive played and what i like

Heh. Evil... Strategy rpg. Try Overlord and Overlord II. Great humor. Good atmosphere.
The best single player RPG of all time in my opinion is Ultima VII.
