I unfortunatelly doesn't know german so that google isn't useful as articles about it are in german. What does WM_MOUSEFIRST serve for?

English version: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms644936%28v=vs.85%29.aspx

wMsgFilterMin [in]

Type: UINT

The integer value of the lowest message value to be retrieved. Use WM_KEYFIRST (0x0100) to specify the first keyboard message or WM_MOUSEFIRST (0x0200) to specify the first mouse message.

It's not actually a message, just a filter for GetMessage.

It appears that the gentleman thought C++ was extremely difficult and he was overjoyed that the machine was absorbing it; he understood that good C++ is difficult but the best C++ is well-nigh unintelligible.
