PS3 or XBOX 360....?

What resolution does Red Dead Redemption run at on PC? Oh, right. None. Most of my favorite games never made it to the PC, and a lot of the ones that did didn't survive the transition very well.

And what resolution does Starcraft run at on consoles?

What resolution does Halo run at on ps3?

What resolution does God Of War run at on xbox?

All platforms have exclusives.

On the other hand, the pc versions of (off the top of my head) Batman Arkhams, Sleeping Dogs, Call of Duty, Battlefield 3 and Far Cry 3 are all way better looking than the console counterparts.

Not to mention games like WOW or Planetside 2 which you will never see on consoles.

So yeah, horses for courses.

The best option is a Nintendo console and a PC. You then have the best of both worlds: Fun console gaming and the most powerful hardware that neither the PS3 or 360 can match.

haha, you're kidding right? Nintendo makes the most overrated consoles these days. My 7 year old son doesn't even like the Wii, he prefers the games on the 360.

Overrated? Not really. Just well designed...mostly. o_O Also, neither the 360 or PS3 can hold a candle to the visual delight of a PC gaming rig armed to the teeth with unrivalled hardware...

Whilst all my friends have complained about the 360's RROD and had to obtain replacements, I've been enjoying the reliable Wii and its huge library of Motion control games...which has never failed me. Saying that, I did buy a PS3 to replace my broken Philips Blu-Ray player...

Besides, you can't get Metroid or Zelda for the 360 or PS3. They absolutely rawk! ^_^

I love when people who can't read very well argue my exact point. The point of my post was that everything has exclusives. However, the PC is severely lacking in certain genres, and lacks choice in many others.

Otherwise it's the same colors, the same composition, and the same content.

Likewise, Call Of Duty is funnest on the platform all your friends are playing on, PC or otherwise.

Starcraft and Command and Conquer had Console ports. Starcraft 64 was very highly rated. We have MMO games on the console and even cell phones too.

‘Battlefield 3? On Lowest PC Settings To Be ‘Similar To Consoles’
I bought my brother FarCry 3 for the PS3 yesterday, yet I was surprised it had no motion blur. Is that the case for the PC version, too?

For context....

Well, you did a pretty terrible job of communicating your "everything has exclusives" point. I don't know how anyone could read that and draw any other conclusion than "PC doesn't have these games".

Wow. I'll leave it to tstrimples example to point out how wrong you are on this, because I don't even know where to start.

I don't like Nintendo products, well, I've got a 3DS, but usually it's used by my wife. Ok, why. I don't like their idea to limit the hardware and focusing on gameplay experiences (means special controllers etc etc).

Anyway, it is doing very well, a huge boom of sales and that's because their advertising. Nintendo Wii and WiiU are seen as multimedia products for the lounge.

While Xbox and PS3 are still seen as videogame stuff for nerds, unfortunately.

BUT, anyway I prefer Xbox and PS3, I've got both. Exactly, I've got a PS3 and TWO slim Xbox 360 (one is used as multimedia product for the lounge!!).

that's all... buy both, keep them safe. Next gen versions, well, I won't buy them at day one, I would wait probably 6 months or more. So you have time to make the most of the actual gen.
