Anything different when uploading data to .fxo than .fx files?

I've compiled my shader to .fxo for optimization.
Anything that might be different when I upload data to a .fxo file than to a .fx file?

What about things like
g_pEffect1->setVector("dfhas", asdj);
Would I use the same syntax?

Yeah the runtime should work exactly the same.
