I am trying to create a directX11 device.  In visual studio, the code does not throw an error or exit unexpectedly.  However, in PIX, it claims that the device I created has been "corrupted" when I try to create a RenderTargetView with it as a parameter.

EDIT:  This doesn't appear to be a problem specific to this single application.  I tried to debug a SlimDX sample application (SimpleTriangle) and got the same error (D3D11 CORRUPTION: ID3D11Device::CreateRenderTargetView: First parameter is corrupt! [ MISCELLANEOUS CORRUPTION #13: CORRUPTED_PARAMETER1]).

EDIT 2:  Apparently Visual Studio 2012 now comes with built in graphics debugging tools!  DirectX applications seem to work fine inside visual studio with the graphics debugger.  I would like to add that I am extremely excited that Graphics debugging  has been integrated into visual studio.
