Is there a promote to article link button?

So this post by Servant of the Lord is really good. And I wanted to "vote" for it as an article. Actually, I wanted to click the Blog This link and make it an article. Obviously, that didn't work. But can we get a system in place (not immediately of course) that would allow us to either vote for a post to be an article or directly post it as an article?

Note: I'm sure the humility of SotL will say it's not article material. My response would be "your opinion doesn't matter" :)

How would that one single post be taken on its own? Unless you're willing to edit some context into the final submission, but then you should probably seek SotL's permission first.

We should have the option to promote journal posts to articles but not forum posts.

Feel free to do what you want with my posts.

There's actually a bunch of my posts that I'd like to turn into articles eventually (for both GameDev.net and my own webpage), but am too busy at the moment to do so (low on my priority list, so I'm pushing most of it off until after I finish Of Stranger Flames - which might not be for a year or more). I might write up one or two of them next month during a programming break.

The only reason I myself wouldn't turn that specific post into an article, is because I'm not experienced enough to speak with authority on that specific subject. Someone else who knows game architectures well (or without such qualms about lack of experience wink.png) can take my post and turn it into an article, leaving me to write articles on subjects I do feel confident about.

Note in response to Alpha's note: Sayz you! =P
