Hi i would like to know wich are the common textures types used by xbox and their file description, i was searching but i didn´t find any relevant information.

I don't see why it would differ from Windows since it is not handled by the operative system.


"App". is an acronym and must always be followed by a dot.

DDS, as the 360 GPU and most PC GPU's have hardware decompress routines for these.


Worked on titles: CMR:DiRT2, DiRT 3, DiRT: Showdown, GRID 2, theHunter, theHunter: Primal, Mad Max

doesn't the 360 work off XNB files, not Common file types? certainly XNA compiles almost everything into XNB to use it.

You might wanna read this I was wrong about the DDS format although XNB does support this.

Did you know if *.tm; *.dm; *.cm; *.bm are xbox texture's formats?
