How about some form of spin on Fritz Lang's Metropolis. Obviously not identical, as I believe Metropolis is still in copyright, but something along the lines of dystopian city underground workers?

I think these 3 are the strongest concepts:

- game dev sim - well, maybe the tastes are skewed here because it is a GameDev forum, but a lot of people seem to like it :) BTW, you can check my old topic (when the game was about game dev), if you feel like it you might post some ideas there http://www.gamedev.net/topic/624085-game-about-game-development-simulation/

- cynical "become a manager and sink the company" sort of game - it's no surprise most people hate managers and some could want to play such a game :)

- smallbiz/factory sim - well, not many of you mentioned it, but I could not get it rid out of my mind when I was reading the posts here... I concluded I liked the factorish theme much more than hollywood and football and human resources, etc. Probably I would go with that one...

I'd play an IT-Support Manager kind of game. Think the IT-Crowd with all its crazy humor included.
