Jcam Technologies has been working on a new custom game engine by the name of Jcam Engine 2. It is to be released as an open source engine.

So far, we have physics and lighting working in the engine. Model loading and terrain generation is on its way.

For now, you can check out this demo!

You can also support the development of this engine!

Thank you for reading! I will update this post with further announcements having to do with engine development. I also update the twitter daily! http://www.twitter.com/jcamtech

I don't mean to burst your bubble, but your videos don't really give any reason to use your engine. what does "lighting" mean?, do you have full shadows(your "physics" demo obviously doesn't demonstrate this), does it mean deferred rendering, so what does lighting mean? what models do you support, what do you support in animation?(skeletal, ik, frame by frame?)

What does your engine offer that other pre-existing engines don't?

Check out https://www.facebook.com/LiquidGames for some great games made by me on the Playstation Mobile market.

Not much at the moment... It only has been in development for 3 weeks... It does have full shadows (I didn't implement them in the demo because of laziness). I just feel like making an engine for education, and because I intend it to turn into a fully usable engine, I am making it open source.
