    Created camera manager
    *** Initialising script engine AngelScript ***
    AS: (0, 0) : ERR :
      Failed in call to function 'RegisterGlobalFunction' with 'int stringToInt(string &in)' (Code: -7)
    OpenDungeons.bin: /home/tom/Opendungeons/opendungeons/source/ASWrapper.cpp:188: void ASWrapper::registerEverything(): Assertion `r >= 0' failed.
    ./OpenDungeonsNoStdoutNoStderr: line 3:  7060 Aborted                 ./OpenDungeons.bin

-7 is <a href="#notsupported" >asNOT_SUPPORTED</a> ,

For what IRC says it;'s calling convertion not supproted .
That what happens on IA32.
On AMD64 it works fine though .

        r = engine->RegisterGlobalFunction(
                "int stringToInt(string &in)",
                asFUNCTION(Helper::stringToT<int>),
                asCALL_CDECL); assert(r >= 0);

For what I understood the asCall_CDECL is no longer a valid call conv. Why is that ? This happens on  ANGELSCRIPT_VERSION_STRING "2.25.0"

I also tried upgrading to the newest one AS Version and it happens as well .

asCALL_CDECL should be valid. Is this the first time you're compiling the library on this platform? What compiler and what OS is it? Can you show me the result of asGetLibraryOptions()? I suspect the returned string will contain AS_MAX_PORTABILITY. Depending on the platform it may be that the as_config.h doesn't identify that it is a platform where native calling conventions is supported.

I had this issue once when I included the library files in my project. I needed to define "i386" in my project options in order for it to work.

Sorry for not showing my config, you can go wacko with what you have said on what forum .

I have had compiled this project several dozen of times -- and never had issues with AS.

Function    asGetLibraryOptions() returns :

AS_MAX_PORTABILITY AS_LINUX

Please run the following command and post the output so I can see what predefines the compiler provides:

echo . | g++ -dM -E -

I think the problem is that the compiler doesn't define the macro i386, which as_config.h is using to identify that the target CPU is IA32. I need to see what other defines it provides so I can determine what needs to change in the as_config.h code.

Thanks.

As I suspected the macro 'i386' isn't defined. But the macros '__i386' and '__i386__' are defined so those can still be used.

I've already made changes in the latest WIP in the svn that should fix this problem. Give that version a try and see if it works for you.

You're right. I missed it the first time I read the post.

Now I don't know why it wasn't working before, but at least with latest revision the problem appears ti have been fixed.
