Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has managed to make a day/night cycle with shadows. I've implemented the Catalin's dynamic shadows (http://www.catalinzima.com/samples/dynamic-2d-shadows/) but I can't seem to get the looks of the sun moving through the sky.

Any help, or ideas on how I could use on of the light sources to create a sun.

Thanks

The very first thing, that might even be enough for your purposes, would be to make the sun move along the half-circle - thus you'd get the longest shadows at both ends (e.g. sunrise and sunset) and almost no shadows at all at noon (in the middle of the half-circle), with shadows getting shorter in the first half of the half circle and shadows getting longer as it progresses through the second half of half-circle.
